GARY PEKOE, Ph.D.
President/CEO
As President and CEO, Dr. Pekoe has over 25 years experience in clinical product development. He founded Arkios in 1993, and in that time has helped numerous emerging biotechnology companies with their programs across a broad range of therapeutic areas. During his time with Beecham Laboratories, Dr. Pekoe managed the successful NDA for Bactroban®, the first single agent, topical product ever approved by the FDA. Dr. Pekoe received his BA in Biopsychology from Aurora University and his MS / PhD in Pharmacology & Toxicology from West Virginia University. His breadth of knowledge and experience in the field, combined with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, has lead to the continued success of Arkios and its clients.

ROBIN McHUGH, MBA
Project Associate
Robin McHugh functions as an in-house Clinical Research Associate for Arkios, making sure all site-related operational and documentation issues are managed effectively. She has been with Arkios for 14 years, and in that time has performed directly as a project manager and in-house CRA on numerous studies across a wide range of therapeutic areas. Robin received her BA in Zoology from Miami University and her MBA from the University of Cincinnati. She is based in the greater Cincinnati area.

LINDSEY NATHANIEL
Director of Business Operations
Lindsey manages all business related aspects of Arkios including invoicing, client management, and daily company operations. Lindsey has held a range of management and business positions and has been involved in the service industry for a number of years. Lindsey is based in our headquarters in Virginia Beach.

KIRBY QUERY, MS
Clinical Research Specialist
Kirby has trained and served in many facets with Arkios including Clinical Operations, Clinical Research Associate, and Project Management. Kirby has been monitoring studies for over two years, and has also been involved as project manager for small-scale dermatology, obstetrics, and vaccine trials. Kirby’s monitoring experience includes Phase I – Phase III trials in Autism, Pressure Ulcers, Epidermylosis Bullosa, Diabetic Foot Ulcers, and Obstetrics. She received her BA in Biology from the University of Virginia and her MS in Pharmaceutical Science from the University of Florida. Kirby is based in our headquarters in Virginia Beach.

WILLIAM COYNE
Senior Clinical Research Associate
William Coyne has been in the pharmaceutical industry since 1988, when he began his career coordinating Phase I trials. He moved into monitoring with Stuart Pharmaceuticals, Univax Biologics, and then joined Dr. Pekoe in 1994 to co-found Arkios. Bill serves as a lead trainer of other CRAs for Arkios, as well as a project manager. He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Cincinnati and served our country as an Army Corpsman during the Viet Nam War. Bill is based in the greater Cincinnati area.

AMANDA POWERS BRATCHER, CCRA
Project Manager
Amanda Powers Bratcher has worked in clinical trial investigations since 2000. As a lead Project Manager for Arkios, she is responsible for the oversight of all clinical trial delivery aspects including Monitoring, Regulatory, Data Management, Quality Assurance, Medical Writing, etc., and is the primary point of contact for the sponsor and the clinical trial sites. Amanda is well versed in FDA regulations, ICH guidelines, Good Clinical Practices, IRB processes and HIPAA Privacy Rule. She holds a double BS degree in Chemistry and Environmental Science from Western Kentucky University and is a Certified Clinical Research Associate. Amanda is regionally based in the greater Cincinnati area.

AMANDA MILLER, MS
Regulatory Affairs Manager
Amanda is the lead Regulatory Affairs Manager at Arkios. She is responsible for coordinating all regulatory activities related to our clients’ clinical trials including but not limited to medical writing (INDs IDEs, 510(k)s), protocol development, FDA consulting and communication, Case Report Form design, and SOP writing. Amanda also oversees the quality management of the project including all regulatory documents and filings for the program. She received her BA in Biology from Hartwick College and her MS in Biology from the College of William and Mary. Amanda is based in our headquarters in Virginia Beach.

BRIANNA WILLIAMS
Administrative Assistant
Brianna is responsible for the daily business and customer service-related aspects of Arkios. She has broad experience in the service industry. Brianna is based in our headquarters in Virginia Beach.
